Plain-language summary: We explain what we collect, why we use it, who receives it, and how to ask for access, correction, or deletion. Public profiles and posts are visible to others. This summary helps explain the policy; the sections below govern.
1. Scope and controller
Vertivert Inc is responsible for the personal information described here for TalePort websites, reader apps, Studio, and related services. Contact privacy@taleportworld.com for privacy questions or requests. Payment stores and independent sign-in providers may also act under their own notices. Our California Privacy Notice and European & UK Privacy Notice explain additional rights where applicable.
2. Information we collect

| Content and communications | Creator drafts, published scenes, assets, translated text, glossary entries, reports, support messages, and attachments you provide | Publishing, requested production tools, moderation, support |
| Device and usage information | IP address, browser or app version, device characteristics, request logs, event timestamps, page paths, campaign parameters, session identifiers, crash diagnostics, and ad interactions where ads are enabled | Operation, security, first-party measurement, troubleshooting, fraud prevention |

Payment processors handle full card details; TalePort does not store full payment card numbers. A Series email follow can be created without an account; we retain its email, subscription, and unsubscribe information. Browser storage is described in the Cookie Policy. IP information can reveal approximate location. A selected country is a preference, not precise GPS location or verified residence. We do not request precise GPS location for ordinary reading.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We use information to provide requested accounts, reading, publishing, purchases, synchronization, support, and creator payouts; maintain security; investigate violations; measure service use; and comply with legal obligations. We use language demand and performance data to inform available editions and creator decisions. We send requested Series or edition notices and service communications; promotional communications include opt-out controls where required.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we use contractual necessity for requested services, legal obligations for required records and lawful demands, legitimate interests for proportionate security, service improvement and operational measurement, and consent where required for optional tracking, marketing, or other processing. We assess and respect relevant objections and consent withdrawals. Acceptance of platform terms does not supply consent for every data use.
4. Recipients and public visibility
Infrastructure, email, diagnostics, payment, identity-verification, moderation, and production-tool providers receive the information needed for their services. Where you invoke an AI production or localization tool, relevant source text, instructions, assets, or glossary information may be sent to the selected provider; see AI & Localization Policy. Providers' roles and terms depend on the service; app stores and identity providers can process information independently.
Profiles, public creator names, published content, and public comments are visible to other users and may be indexed or copied. Creator dashboards provide activity, earnings, and language-demand information. Tip activity may identify your account to the recipient; do not assume anonymity unless a feature expressly offers it. We do not provide requester email addresses to creators as a language-demand mailing list. Authorized staff may access individual records to operate features or investigate reports.
We may disclose necessary information to comply with valid legal demands, protect safety or rights, investigate fraud, or handle a corporate transaction with appropriate protections. We do not sell account information for money. Advertising disclosures can constitute a legal "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising even without payment; applicable choices are explained in Your Privacy Choices. Do not assume a mobile advertising SDK has the same practices as this website.
5. Advertising and measurement
The public website uses first-party page and reading measurement. Events may include a random per-tab identifier, content identifiers, paths, campaign parameters, and timestamps, and, on pages that carry ads, whether an ad break was shown, skipped, or continued. Requests reveal technical information to our servers; a random identifier does not make all activity anonymous. Configured diagnostics tools can receive error and performance data.
We also use Google Analytics to understand how the website, TalePort Studio and the TalePort apps are used: which pages and screens are visited, how long reading lasts, which Episodes are opened and finished, and the device, browser, approximate location (from the IP address, which Google does not store) and referrer involved. On the website and in the Studio it uses cookies such as _ga; in the apps it uses Google Analytics for Firebase and an app-instance identifier, not the device's advertising identifier. Google processes this as our service provider under its own terms; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Canada, analytics waits for your consent: until you accept, Google Analytics is not loaded on the website or in the Studio, and the apps send it nothing at all. Elsewhere, a browser that sends a Global Privacy Control signal is treated as having said no. Google Analytics is never allowed to use advertising features or Google signals. Our own measurement in the apps waits for the same answer, except the record that you started or finished an Episode or saw an ad, which counts readers for creators and decides what they are paid. You can change your answer at any time in Cookie Settings on the website, in the Studio, or in the app's settings.
Free reading on the website may carry ads served by Google AdSense. When a page requests an ad, Google receives information such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, the address of the page, and identifiers stored in cookies or similar technologies, and uses it to select and measure ads, limit how often you see them, prevent fraud and, where permitted and you have not objected, personalize them. Google acts under its own notice; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Ads are not shown to TalePort+ subscribers, on Mature or Adult Series, or on pages behind an age check, and gambling, dating, alcohol, and political ads are blocked. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are asked through Google's consent message before advertising cookies are used for personalization, and can change that choice at any time; choices for other regions are in Your Privacy Choices.
Mobile advertisements, identifiers, and measurement depend on the app, available providers, age restrictions, device permissions, and applicable consent requirements. Device advertising controls and an ad-free entitlement do not automatically delete prior records. We provide legally required consent or opt-out controls before processing that requires them. See the Cookie Policy and regional notices for available routes.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for its stated purpose, considering active accounts, user instructions, security risks, legal limitation periods, tax and accounting obligations, and disputes. Device storage durations appear in the Cookie Policy. Account deletion includes a 30-day recovery window as explained on our Account Deletion page; that window is not a promise that every record is purged on day 30.
After deletion, we remove or de-identify information no longer needed and restrict retained records to justified purposes. Financial records, legal evidence, fraud records, and restricted backups may need longer retention. We assess deletion exceptions under applicable law rather than retain everything indefinitely. Public material copied independently by others may remain outside our control. Ask privacy@taleportworld.com about a category's retention or deletion status.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you can request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or an opt-out from sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. Use account controls where available or email privacy@taleportworld.com. We verify requests proportionately, may need enough information to locate an account, and respond within applicable legal deadlines. Authorized representatives may act where permitted. We explain any refusal and available appeal or complaint rights.
Your Privacy Choices describes browser storage, subscription emails, account deletion, advertising choices, and contact requests. Exercising a legal right does not invite unlawful discrimination. Withdrawing consent does not invalidate prior lawful processing or cancel separately billed services.
8. Children and security
The service is intended for people aged 13 or older, subject to higher local requirements. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age. Report suspected underage accounts to privacy@taleportworld.com; see Children's Privacy.
We use safeguards appropriate to the information, including secure credential storage, access controls, and encryption in transit. No service can guarantee complete security. Protect your credentials and avoid putting private information into public posts.
9. International processing
TalePort and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries with different laws. Where applicable law requires a transfer mechanism, we must establish an appropriate mechanism, such as an applicable adequacy decision or valid contractual safeguards, before the restricted transfer. This notice does not claim a certification or executed agreement that has not been established. Contact privacy@taleportworld.com for information about safeguards applicable to your data.
10. Changes and contact
We update this notice with a new effective date and give additional notice of material changes as required. We seek fresh consent when required rather than treating continued use as consent to new optional processing. Contact privacy@taleportworld.com for rights requests and support@taleportworld.com for general help. The current policy is English; interface language and region choices do not waive local privacy rights.
