Plain-language summary: Where European or UK data-protection law applies, we explain legal bases, international processing, and access, objection, deletion, and complaint rights. This summary helps explain the policy; the sections below govern.
1. Scope and controller
This notice supplements the Privacy Policy where EEA, UK, or similar applicable data-protection law governs TalePort's processing. Vertivert Inc is responsible for the described platform processing. Contact privacy@taleportworld.com for rights requests or information about any legally required local representative. This notice does not invent a representative or claim a registration that has not been established.
2. Information and lawful bases
The Privacy Policy explains the data categories, sources, recipients, purposes, and retention criteria. Contractual necessity supports requested accounts, reading synchronization, publishing, purchases, and payouts. Legal obligations support required tax records, legal demands, and other mandatory processing. Legitimate interests support proportionate security, fraud prevention, service maintenance, and operational measurement, subject to assessment of your rights and reasonable expectations. Consent is used where required for optional marketing, nonessential tracking, or other optional processing.
We do not treat agreement to general terms as consent for every purpose. Where required information is necessary to provide a service or comply with law, declining it can prevent that particular service; optional information is identified by the feature. Withdraw consent at any time through the applicable control or by contacting us, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier consent-based processing.
3. Your rights
Subject to the relevant legal conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability of qualifying information, and objection to legitimate-interest processing. You may object to direct marketing at any time. Contact privacy@taleportworld.com; we verify identity proportionately and normally respond within one month. A legally permitted extension of up to two further months for complex or numerous requests will be explained within the initial period. We explain lawful exceptions or refusals and available remedies.
4. Recommendations and decisions
Reading activity and preferences can inform recommendations, language demand, and engagement-based earnings. These are not promises of individual earnings or a definitive assessment of a person's traits. Security and eligibility tools can flag unusual activity for review. Where applicable law gives rights concerning solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects, you may request the relevant explanation, human intervention, and opportunity to contest the result. Contact us about a restriction; do not assume a general analytics score is a final automated legal decision.
5. International transfers and retention
Information may be processed in the United States or other countries outside your home jurisdiction. Restricted transfers require a valid mechanism before they occur, such as an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact privacy@taleportworld.com for information about the mechanism and any available safeguards copy applicable to your data. This notice is not a claim of participation in a certification framework or execution of a specific contract.
We retain information only as necessary for stated purposes and applicable obligations, considering active services, legal claims, financial records, security needs, and restricted backups. A 30-day account recovery window is not the retention period for every category. See the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
6. Complaints and other choices
You may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred; UK residents can contact the Information Commissioner's Office. You may contact us first, but it is not a condition of a regulator complaint. Your Privacy Choices explains current account, email, device, and browser routes. Interface language or selected region does not waive these rights. We update this notice with material changes and obtain any required fresh consent.
