Plain-language summary: Creators keep their rights. Report suspected infringement with enough information to identify the work and the affected content; disputed removals can be reviewed. This summary helps explain the policy; the sections below govern.
1. Respect for rights
TalePort does not transfer ownership of creators' work to readers. Publish only material you own, have permission to use, or may lawfully use under an applicable exception. Translation, dubbing, tracing, music, fan art, and AI-assisted material can involve separate rights. Our Fan Content Policy does not grant rights that belong to someone else.
2. Reporting infringement
Send a copyright notice with the copyright form, which asks for everything below and lets us act on it fastest, or by email to copyright@taleportworld.com. Include your name and contact details, a description of the protected work, the TalePort URL and specific location of the allegedly infringing material, an explanation of your ownership or authority, and relevant evidence. Tell us whether any license, legal exception, or permission is known to apply. Do not include unnecessary sensitive documents in the initial report.
For a notice intended to invoke U.S. statutory takedown procedures, include your physical or electronic signature; identification of the copyrighted work or a representative list; information sufficient to locate the material; contact information; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or law; and a statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, you are the owner or authorized representative. Other jurisdictions may require different information.
This email is our copyright-reporting contact. This page does not represent that a particular individual or mailing address has been registered as a U.S. designated agent. Official agent information, if registered, is available through the U.S. Copyright Office's designated-agent directory.
3. Review and removal
A person reads every notice. We may request clarification, remove or restrict access to identified material, notify the uploader, and retain information needed to resolve the dispute. When we remove material, the uploader is told what was removed, on whose notice, and how to send a counter-notice. We may provide the uploader with relevant notice details, including claimant identity and contact information, as needed for a response or required by law. We do not decide final ownership disputes in place of a court. Knowingly false claims can cause harm and may carry legal consequences.
4. Disputing a removal
If you believe content was removed in error or you have permission, send a counter-notice from TalePort Studio (Settings → Notices), which asks for everything below, or contact copyright@taleportworld.com with the affected location and supporting explanation. Where applicable U.S. counter-notice procedures govern, provide your signature; identification and previous location of the removed material; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe removal resulted from mistake or misidentification; your name, address, and telephone number; consent to the jurisdiction of the applicable U.S. federal district court (or an appropriate district where TalePort may be found if outside the United States); and agreement to accept service from the claimant or its agent.
A statutory counter-notice may be forwarded to the claimant. Where the U.S. statutory restoration procedure applies, eligible material may be restored after 10–14 business days following receipt of a valid counter-notice unless we receive notice of a court action seeking to restrain the activity. Independent safety, rights, or policy grounds can still prevent publication. Ordinary appeals do not automatically trigger that statutory timetable.
5. Repeated abuse and other rights
Repeat infringers. Each copyright notice we uphold counts against the account that uploaded the material. A notice answered by a counter-notice does not count unless the claimant tells us they have gone to court, and a notice that is withdrawn, rejected or reversed never counts. The third upheld notice suspends the account, and we may end it. We may also act sooner on other serious rights violations. Trademark, publicity, privacy, or impersonation concerns can be sent to support@taleportworld.com with evidence; they do not necessarily use copyright counter-notice procedures. Our Community Guidelines and Creator Terms also apply. Nothing here restricts applicable fair use, fair dealing, or other statutory rights.
