Plain-language summary: Share official links and respect the creator’s permissions. TalePort cannot grant you rights to someone else’s story, artwork, translation, or music. This summary helps explain the policy; the sections below govern.
1. Rights belong to their owners
Creators retain their rights. This policy explains platform expectations for fan activity; it is not a blanket license to adapt or reuse works published on TalePort. A creator's express permission and applicable legal exceptions determine whether a particular use is allowed. Noncommercial use and credit alone do not automatically make copying lawful.
2. Sharing and discussion
You may share official Series and Episode links and use the official preview or sharing functions within their stated scope. Reviews, criticism, commentary, and quotations can be lawful under applicable exceptions, assessed case by case. Use only the material reasonably necessary for the purpose, identify the source appropriately, and avoid substitutes for the original work. TalePort does not create a universal percentage or number of panels that is always permitted.
3. Permission for adaptations
Get the rightsholder's permission before distributing fan adaptations where a license is needed, including translations, dubs, edited chapters, illustrated retellings, merchandise, paid commissions using protected material, and substantial reposts. Do not remove watermarks or credits, distribute complete chapters or paywalled material, or present an unofficial account or edition as endorsed. Asking for a language edition does not give you permission to make or publish one.
4. Fan works on TalePort
Uploaded fan work must satisfy the Creator Terms, Community Guidelines, and applicable rights. Clearly describe unofficial work and acknowledge relevant creators; attribution does not replace a required license. A permission from one creator does not cover a collaborator's separately owned art, music, or other assets. AI-assisted fan work is subject to the same rules.
5. Requests and removal
Respect valid limits on a creator's permission and stop uses that exceed them. Rightsholders may report infringement under the Copyright Policy. We can restrict material when there is a supported rights or policy concern and offer review through the appropriate procedure. This policy does not override fair use, fair dealing, or other statutory rights. Contact support@taleportworld.com with platform questions; seek permission from the actual rightsholder for a license.
