TalePort Cookie Policy

1. Scope

This policy covers cookies, local and session storage on TalePort's website. Mobile app storage and advertising SDKs are described in the Privacy Policy and Your Privacy Choices. Cookies are small values sent with requests; local storage persists in a browser, while session storage usually ends with a tab session.

2. Website inventory

Measurement cookies (Google Analytics). The website and TalePort Studio use Google Analytics, which sets _ga (distinguishes visitors, up to 2 years) and _ga_<id> (keeps the session, up to 2 years). Your answer to our consent question is kept in tp_consent (up to 1 year, shared by the website and the Studio). In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Canada, Google Analytics is not loaded at all until you accept. Elsewhere it is loaded unless you say no, or unless your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, which we treat as a no until you choose otherwise. Google Analytics is never allowed to use advertising features or Google signals. Everywhere, you can change your answer from Cookie Settings in the footer.

Advertising cookies (Google AdSense). On pages that carry ads, Google may set or read cookies and similar identifiers on this website and on its own domains, such as __gads and __gpi (ad frequency and measurement, up to about 13 months), IDE on doubleclick.net (ad delivery and personalization, up to about 13 months), and FCCDCF / FCNEC (your consent choices from Google's consent message, up to about 13 months). Google decides the exact names and durations; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. These are not used for TalePort+ subscribers or on pages that carry no ads.

Signed-in preferences and reading records may also be stored on our servers; deleting device storage does not delete those records. Browser or app versions can change the storage used for a feature. We update this inventory when practices materially change.

3. Measurement and outside services

The website sends first-party page views, reading events, and store-button activity to TalePort, including content identifiers, paths, timestamps, campaign parameters, and a random tab identifier. Network requests also reveal technical information such as IP addresses. Pages that carry ads load Google AdSense, described above and in the Privacy Policy.

Configured error diagnostics, external sign-in, and payment pages may involve their respective providers' technologies. Facebook's sign-in script is fetched only when you move to use the Facebook button, not when a sign-in page opens. Opening an external service subjects its use to that provider's notice. Mobile ad providers have separate device controls and any legally required consent requirements. This policy is not a claim that all SDKs on every TalePort surface are cookie-free.

4. Clearing and controlling storage

Cookie Settings in the footer lets you allow or stop Google Analytics; stopping it takes effect at once, on the page you are on. Separately, it can clear TalePort's tp_ local and session storage keys and expire the age-declaration cookie, which resets browser reading positions and prompts. Clearing storage does not sign you out of every authenticated session, remove every cookie, change your Google Analytics answer, disable first-party measurement, or delete server data. It may not clear the separately stored UI-language cookie. New values can be created as you continue browsing.

For complete removal of site data, use your browser's cookie and storage controls. Blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in, saved preferences, or age checks. Use sign-out to end your current authenticated session and account security controls for other sessions where available. 5. Consent and updates

Where law requires consent for nonessential technologies, the applicable consent must be obtained before those technologies are used. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are shown Google's consent message before advertising cookies are used for personalization, and can reopen it from the privacy and cookie settings link it places on the page to change their choice. Clearing browser storage is not a substitute for that consent. We will update this policy and any required controls before introducing materially different optional tracking.
