Plain-language summary: Story Credits let readers support eligible creators. The standard creator share is 90% of net Tip revenue, after relevant external fees and adjustments. This summary helps explain the policy; the sections below govern.
1. What support means
Story Credits are used for supported TalePort creator-support features. A Tip expresses support; it is not a charitable donation, investment, ownership interest, promise of a commission, or obligation to produce an edition or release. Creators must not misrepresent Tips as tax-deductible donations or promise returns. General billing and refunds are governed by Subscription, Tips & Refund Policy.
2. Buying and sending credits
Checkout shows a pack's credit quantity, price, currency, and applicable taxes. Pack prices and provider fees can vary. Readers cannot redeem Story Credits for cash, sell or transfer balances, or use them outside supported features. Purchased Story Credits do not expire merely with time. Promotional credits may have separate disclosed conditions and do not necessarily carry the same funded revenue basis as purchased credits. A Tip spends the displayed number of credits; check the recipient and amount before confirming.
3. Creator eligibility and share
Recipients must satisfy creator-program eligibility, adulthood, verification, tax, and payout requirements. The standard allocation is 90% of net Tip revenue to the creator and 10% to TalePort. Net Tip revenue means the funded value attributable to the credits sent, after applicable store or processing fees, taxes, refunds, and chargebacks. It is not 90% of gross reader spending.
Credit value can depend on the reader's purchased packs and their net funded basis; an identical number of credits need not represent an identical cash amount for every reader. Ledger amounts are rounded in whole minor currency units. Promotional or otherwise unfunded credits do not create cash revenue merely by being sent. Any alternative program rate must be disclosed and agreed before it applies.
4. Records and privacy
We keep transaction and allocation records needed for balance integrity, support, statements, fraud checks, and legal obligations. The receiving creator may see your account identity and Tip information. Do not assume that a Tip is anonymous unless the feature expressly provides that option. See the Privacy Policy.
5. Payouts and reversals
Creator payouts require cleared funds, verified details, the applicable program threshold and hold, and a supported payment method. Refunds, chargebacks, invalid receipts, or fraud can reverse the associated credits or adjust affected earnings. We investigate discrepancies and avoid charging a loss twice. Legitimate balances below threshold carry forward subject to applicable law; support income is not guaranteed.
6. Integrity and disputes
Do not use stolen cards, repeated receipts, self-dealing with fraudulent funds, or coordinated transactions to manipulate rankings or revenue. Good-faith support and legitimate refund requests are not prohibited. Restrictions and appeals follow Honesty & Platform Integrity Policy. Contact support@taleportworld.com with the receipt or Tip identifier for questions. Policy changes apply prospectively and preserve mandatory consumer rights and legitimate accrued earnings.
