Plain-language summary: Check the price, renewal terms, and seller before paying. Cancel recurring plans through the billing provider; legal refund rights remain available. This summary helps explain the policy; the sections below govern.
1. Prices and billing providers
This policy applies to TalePort reader plans, Story Credits, Studio subscriptions, AI credits, and paid language-edition tools where offered. Checkout displays the price, currency, billing interval, applicable taxes, and included features before purchase. Availability varies by country, store, device, and offer. Apple, Google, Stripe, or another identified provider processes payment under its applicable billing terms. Keep your receipt and purchase identifier.
2. Recurring plans and cancellation
A subscription renews at the disclosed interval unless cancelled according to the checkout terms and provider deadline. Trials convert to paid plans only on the terms shown at enrollment. We give required notice of price changes and obtain agreement where law requires it. Cancel through the provider that billed you: Apple subscription settings, Google Play subscriptions, or the applicable TalePort/Stripe billing portal.
Cancellation normally prevents the next renewal while access continues for the paid period, unless the offer or a lawful refund ends access sooner. Uninstalling the app, signing out, withdrawing a story, or deleting an account does not itself cancel a separately billed subscription. Contact support@taleportworld.com if you cannot identify the provider.
3. Story Credits and Tips
Story Credits are a digital balance for supported creator-support features. They are not cash, an investment, cryptocurrency, a bank deposit, or a charitable donation. Readers cannot redeem them for money or transfer or sell balances. Purchased Story Credits do not expire merely with time. A Tip does not buy ownership, voting rights, exclusive access, or an obligation for a creator to produce content. See Story Credits & Creator Support Policy.
4. Studio, AI credits, and editions
Studio plans, production credits, and edition purchases have the inclusions, usage limits, price, and renewal terms shown in their offer. AI production credits are distinct from reader Story Credits; do not assume they share a balance, expiry rule, or cash value. A paid language-edition tool generates or prepares a draft and does not guarantee publication, perfect translation, readership, or revenue. Generation and publication responsibilities appear in AI & Localization Policy.
A free reader language request is not a creator purchase or a charge to the requester. We will not bill an edition merely because a reader requests it. Report charged tasks that fail to deliver their stated service to support with the receipt and task identifier so we can review delivery, credit restoration, or a refund.
5. When a creator leaves
If a creator deletes their account, their Series stop being offered for sale right away and are withdrawn 30 days later. Episodes you bought before then stay readable in your Library in the app, under the creator's name. A Series bought with future Episodes covers the Episodes released before it was withdrawn; no more are added. A work removed for a policy, legal, or rights reason may be removed for buyers too; you can then ask for a refund through the store or provider you paid, or through support for a direct purchase.
6. Refund requests and mandatory rights
Digital purchases and delivered Tips are generally final once fulfilled, subject to mandatory law, the seller's terms, and remedies for unauthorized, duplicate, defective, or undelivered transactions. We review those concerns individually. This policy does not waive statutory withdrawal, cancellation, consumer-guarantee, or refund rights. Any legally required consent to immediate digital delivery and acknowledgment concerning withdrawal rights must be obtained at checkout; this policy alone does not supply it.
For Apple or Google purchases, request refunds through the relevant store, which controls its refund decision. For direct TalePort/Stripe purchases, contact support@taleportworld.com with the account, receipt, date, amount, and problem. Do not email full card details. We may need reasonable verification. We will explain the available remedy and any provider involvement; we do not promise automatic approval or a fixed refund-processing time.
7. Reversals and abuse
Approved refunds, chargebacks, or reversed payments can remove the associated entitlement or unused credits and adjust affected creator earnings. We do not charge the same loss twice. Fraudulent disputes, stolen cards, receipt reuse, or deliberate balance exploitation can lead to restrictions under Honesty & Platform Integrity Policy. A good-faith refund request or exercise of legal rights is not fraud.
8. Help and changes
Contact support@taleportworld.com for purchase support. Future offers may have additional terms clearly presented before payment. Policy changes do not remove rights attached to an earlier purchase or retroactively change completed legitimate transactions. General account terms are in the Terms of Service.
