Plain-language summary: Only eligible creators and activity participate. Subscription earnings come from an engagement-based pool; ad earnings depend on validated revenue, not a guaranteed payment per view. This summary helps explain the policy; the sections below govern.
1. Enrollment and eligibility
This policy supplements Creator Terms. Monetization is available only when the relevant program is offered and you and your content meet its enrollment, age (18 or older), rights, country, verification, tax, and payment-provider requirements. Publication or a high view count does not automatically qualify a Series. We may review eligibility and restrict unsuitable or disputed content.
Before participation, the program must identify the applicable subscription-pool percentage, ad creator share, qualification rules, payout threshold, and hold period in its offer, enrollment terms, or dashboard. A separately agreed rate governs that participant. No percentage in another platform's policy applies to TalePort. If no program offer is available, do not assume that publishing generates an earnings entitlement.
TalePort's standard program offer is published on the Earnings for creators page: the subscription-pool percentage, the ad creator share, the tip share, the payout threshold and the hold period, read from the same settings payouts are calculated from. This policy sets out who qualifies and how reading and impressions are counted. A separately agreed rate replaces the standard offer for that creator.
2. Subscription revenue pool
For a settlement period, the subscription creator pool is the eligible net subscription receipts multiplied by the applicable pool percentage. A creator's allocation is that pool multiplied by the creator's qualified weighted engagement divided by all eligible weighted engagement for that period. Engagement rules can include valid reading time, completion weighting, and reasonable session or reader limits. Idle, duplicate, automated, or otherwise unqualified activity does not count as payable engagement.
We calculate money in whole minor currency units and reconcile rounding across the pool. Where there is no qualifying engagement, there is no reader-attributed creator allocation. A subscriber reading a work does not promise a fixed payment for that individual read. Net receipts exclude relevant taxes, store and processing fees, refunds, and chargebacks under the disclosed program calculation.
3. Ad revenue
Eligible ad earnings depend on revenue actually received, the applicable creator share, and validated ad attribution or activity for the period. An impression is not necessarily a paid or valid impression. Ad fill, rates, advertiser demand, age suitability, devices, geography, provider adjustments, and invalid traffic affect earnings. We do not guarantee an ad on every page, payment for every impression, or any minimum income.
4. Estimates and language reporting
Dashboard figures can be provisional until settlement. Later provider statements, refunds, fraud review, exchange conversion, and corrected attribution can change estimates. Language views and demand are different from monetary earnings. Language revenue reports use attributable financial records; unassigned or unknown-language entries must not be presented as verified earnings for a particular edition. Creating an edition does not guarantee a revenue uplift.
5. Statements and payouts
We provide records of settled earnings and material adjustments through available creator statements or support. Cleared amounts become payable according to the disclosed threshold, hold, verification, and payout-provider conditions. Balances below threshold carry forward, subject to applicable law. When an account is closed, the remaining cleared balance is paid in a final payout without the threshold, as described in the Creator Terms; a balance that cannot be paid is retained and handled under applicable law rather than forfeited. Bank and foreign-exchange fees may apply as disclosed by the provider. We may withhold taxes where required; you remain responsible for your own tax obligations.
6. Paid Episodes
A paid Episode is sold on a promise, and these rules keep it:
- It is a complete Episode: no filler, blank or repeated pages to reach a length.
- At most one page promotes your other work or channels.
- It never asks the reader to pay again somewhere else to see what it promised.
- It contains nothing you do not have the right to sell, including work under a Creative Commons or other free licence.
When a paid Episode breaks them we take it off sale, reclaim your share of every sale of it as an adjustment on your statement, and tell each buyer how to ask the store they paid for a refund. Buyers keep it in their library. You are told what was decided and why, and may contest it as described in the Creator Terms.
7. Invalid activity and review
Do not automate, purchase, solicit, or fabricate ad or reading activity to increase earnings. We may exclude affected activity, investigate, place proportionate holds, and correct verified overpayments. We will not treat every unusual traffic pattern as conclusive fraud. See Honesty & Platform Integrity Policy for restrictions and appeals. Legitimate undisputed amounts remain payable subject to lawful restrictions and verification.
8. Changes and questions
Program changes apply prospectively with notice as required and do not retroactively reduce settled legitimate earnings. Programs may be paused or closed; eligible accrued balances remain subject to payout and legal requirements. Contact support@taleportworld.com with the period and entries for a discrepancy. Story Credit Tips use a separate Creator Support Policy.
