For Tapas creators
Your series survives Tapas
Tapas is ending its service. Bring your Series to TalePort, keep everything that is yours, and give your readers somewhere to follow you next.
Your share
70% of ad and subscription revenue, 90% of tips
What each share is ofNo exclusivity
Publishing on TalePort gives us a nonexclusive licence. Post your Series anywhere else you like, at the same time.
Keep your IP
Your story and your artwork stay yours. Uploading transfers no ownership, and adaptations, print or merchandise need a separate agreement with you.
Written down in our Creator Terms.
How to move, step by step
The same six steps wait on your Series in TalePort Studio, where you tick them off in any order. They guide you; none of them holds anything up.
- 01
Check your Tapas exclusivity
Some agreements with Tapas say a series may only appear on Tapas, for a set time or for good.
Before you repost anywhere, ask Tapas to confirm your status through their Creator Inquiry Form. Only you can do this: TalePort cannot see your contract.
Do not publish here until your status is clear.
Tapas Creator Inquiry Form - 02
Save your files from Tapas
Keep your original page files at the size you drew them, not images saved from the reader, with your cover, Episode thumbnails, titles and descriptions.
Do it before Tapas closes: after that, what is on Tapas can no longer be reached.
- 03
Bring your Episodes in
Create your Series in TalePort Studio, then add each Episode and upload its pages. They stay drafts nobody can see until you publish.
- 04
Complete the content rating and declarations
Answer the rating questions in your Series settings and say whether AI helped make it. You confirm your rights to the work when you submit an Episode.
- 05
Publish
Submit an Episode for review, then publish it. Your Series has its public page from the moment the first Episode is live.
Publish only once step 1 is settled. Do not publish here until your status is clear.
- 06
Tell your readers
Post your new link on Tapas while it is still open, and wherever your readers follow you. The Studio writes a suggested announcement for you.
What the move includes
Upload your Episodes
Upload a whole Episode's pages at once and put them in order. Your pages, titles and descriptions come across. Ratings, comments, likes and followers stay on the other platform: they belong to it and cannot be moved.
A person to help you set up
Someone on the TalePort team can help with your Series page, bringing your Episodes in, the rating questions and your first publication. Ask, and we reply by email within 2 days.
What we offer Series moving from Tapas
Featured placement
Series moving from Tapas are considered for a featured spot on TalePort, so readers looking for something new find yours.
Hands-on onboarding help
A person on our team works through the move with you, from your Series page to your first published Episode.
Questions
Am I free to publish my Tapas series somewhere else?
It depends on your agreement with Tapas. Some contracts make a series exclusive to Tapas for a time or for good, and some need a formal release.
Ask Tapas through its Creator Inquiry Form and wait for its answer before you repost. TalePort cannot see or settle your contract, and nothing on TalePort asks you to break one.
What happens to Tapas Ink and unlocked episodes?
Tapas ends its service on 31 March 2027. After that, episodes readers unlocked on Tapas can no longer be read there, and they do not transfer to other Kakao services.
Ink is generally non-refundable. Readers should check the Tapas FAQ for anything about their own account; TalePort cannot carry Ink or unlocks across.
Source: the official Tapas End of Service FAQ, as reported in October 2026. Tapas may change its plans; check its own notices for anything about your account.
How long does a move take?
Mostly as long as uploading your pages. Making the Series page and answering the rating questions takes minutes; each Episode is a matter of uploading and ordering its pages.
Every Episode is read by our review before it goes live. Most are checked within 15 minutes. A Series with a long back catalogue can go live with its first Episode while you bring in the rest.
What do I keep?
Your IP: your story and artwork stay yours, and TalePort holds only a nonexclusive licence to show them.
Your files: TalePort shows the pages you upload and never changes your originals.
Your readers: you get a public link for your Series to give them a new home. Ratings, comments, likes and followers stay on Tapas, because they belong to that platform.
Ready when you are
Check your Tapas status first, then make your Series in TalePort Studio. If you would rather have a hand, ask and a person on our team will reply by email.
