About the Series
Jamestown, Accra. Ama Kwarteng, 24, sells clay figurines to tourists by day, and by night quietly wakes a few with her late father's clay-song so they charm buyers into better tips. Then Small Papa, a figurine shaped like her father, walks off on his own, straight into the ledger of Efua, the mother who cut Ama off years ago. Before dawn, when Inspector Nii seals her kiln, Ama has to call the walkers home, face her mother, and say the truth she has been hiding behind clay.
