Plain-language summary: How to reach us, how to report content you think is illegal, what we tell creators when we act on their work, how to contest a decision, and where we publish what we did. This summary helps explain the policy; the sections below govern.
1. Where TalePort is offered
TalePort is not yet offered in the European Union's app storefronts. This page sets out how we meet the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065) for anyone in the EU who reaches TalePort today, and how we will once it is offered there. Before TalePort is offered in the EU we will name our legal representative in the Union here.
2. Points of contact
For authorities, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services: support@taleportworld.com, marked "DSA authority". For everyone else: support@taleportworld.com, or the report controls in the apps and on the website. We read and answer in English, and we will do our best with other EU languages.
3. Reporting illegal content
Use the report control on any Scene, comment or profile, or write to support@taleportworld.com. Tell us where the content is (its address on TalePort), why you believe it is illegal and under which law if you know, and your name and email unless the report concerns child sexual abuse material, which you may report anonymously. For copyright, use the copyright form. A person reviews every report. If you reported while signed in, we tell you in your notifications whether we acted, and how to contest the decision; by email, we reply by email.
4. What we tell creators
Whenever we remove or restrict a creator's content, refuse to publish it, suspend or restrict their account, or withhold their earnings, we send them a statement saying what we did, the facts we relied on, whether the ground is the law or our terms (and which), whether it was found or decided by automated means, and how to contest it. Creators find every statement in TalePort Studio under Settings → Notices, as well as in their notifications and email.
5. Automated moderation
Every Episode submitted for publication is checked automatically against its declared content rating and our rules, by image and text classifiers and by a measure of whether a page is drawn artwork. Only a confident finding of sexual content or the sexualisation of a minor stops publication by itself, and pages that go beyond the Series' declared rating are sent back to the creator to re-rate or change; anything else is published and checked by a person afterwards. A creator may ask for a person to review an automated refusal from the Episode in the Studio.
6. Contesting a decision
You can ask for a person to review an automated refusal from the Episode in TalePort Studio, send a counter-notice for a copyright removal, or write to support@taleportworld.com about any decision, free of charge. We review complaints promptly and tell you the result and the reasons. You may also use a dispute settlement body certified under Article 21 of the Digital Services Act, or go to court.
7. Misuse
We may suspend, after a warning, the accounts of people who frequently post manifestly illegal content, and stop handling reports from people who frequently send manifestly unfounded ones. Repeat copyright infringement is handled under the Copyright Policy.
8. Transparency report
We keep a record of the reports and copyright notices we receive and how long they take, the actions we take and on what grounds, how many are found and decided automatically, and the appeals and their outcomes, counted from the same records as the statements creators receive. We will publish a transparency report from it where the law requires one of us.
9. Recommendations and advertising
Home, genre pages and recommendations order Series by reader activity (how many people open, finish and rate them), by recency, and by editorial choices; your reading history shapes "Continue reading" and some suggestions. Ads on TalePort are not personalized, and we never target ads at anyone using profiling or sensitive data, or at minors. See Your Privacy Choices.
